Distance Parent Facebook Group. Support group for long-distance moms & dads.
DistanceParent.org. The first resource I found on the web, and a literal treasure trove of useful information, legal resources, books, etc.
Reddit Communities
r/Custody. This is an active Reddit community for parents. They navigate custody disputes, share experiences, and seek peer advice. Topics include family court, visitation, and parenting orders.
r/ChildSupport. A Reddit forum focused on child support questions, disputes, and modifications. It also covers arrears and enforcement. Discussions occur from both custodial and noncustodial perspectives.
r/SingleParents. A supportive community for single mothers and fathers. They discuss co-parenting strategies, custody, finances, and the challenges of raising children in two-household families.
r/Divorce. A broad forum covers all aspects of divorce. It includes child custody, property division, and emotional support for parents going through separation.
r/FamilyLaw. A community for questions and discussions about family law topics including custody, support, and legal procedures. Users often share experiences and point toward helpful resources.
Facebook Groups
Non-Custodial Parents Support Group (Facebook). Search Facebook for ‘non-custodial parents support.’ You will find multiple active private groups. In these groups, parents share resources, legal experiences, and emotional support. Groups such as ‘Non-Custodial Parents Network’ and ‘Non-Custodial Moms & Dads Support’ are among the most active.
Fathers Rights & Child Custody Support (Facebook). A Facebook search for ‘fathers rights custody support’ surfaces several active groups. These groups have tens of thousands of members. They focus on shared parenting advocacy, legal tips, and community.
National Parents Organization – Facebook Page. The official Facebook presence of NPO, sharing legislative updates, research, and news related to shared parenting and custody reform.
Podcasts & YouTube Channels
Dads Divorce Podcast. A podcast covering legal strategies, custody advice, and personal stories specifically from a father’s perspective in family court proceedings.
The Custody Coach – YouTube. Search YouTube for ‘The Custody Coach’ for video guidance on navigating custody hearings, documentation, and communication with co-parents and attorneys.
National Parents Organization – YouTube. Video content from NPO covering shared parenting research, advocacy updates, and interviews with family law experts.
Single Parent Support Network. A national peer-support network for single parents, including noncustodial parents, offering forums, local chapters, and resource sharing.
Custody Connection. An online resource hub for custody-related forms, parenting plan templates, and state-specific custody law summaries.
